The team from Aspire Residential will be looking to cycle the equivalent distance of going to Normandy and back ahead of Remembrance Sunday this year to raise funds in support of the Royal British Legion.

The Royal British Legion is at the heart of the national network that supports our armed forces community. It is the Country’s largest Armed Forces charity, with 235,000 members, 110,000 volunteers and a wide network of partners and charities. Every year, the Legion calls on the nation to unite in commemorating Remembrance Sunday to honour the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces community, the British and Commonwealth veterans, the Allies that fought alongside us and the civilian servicemen and women involved in the two World Wars and later conflicts. You can find out more about the Legion here;

This year, Remembrance Sunday falls on the 10th of November. Between the 1st and 8th of November, Aspire Residential will have a static exercise bike in our office on Goring High Street and together with family, friends, clients and the general public, we will be looking to cover the 500 mile round trip distance to the Normandy beaches and back again.

Anyone wanting to ride a few of those miles is more than welcome to pop into the office and jump on the bike. We are asking for a donation of £1 for each 5 minutes cycled. Of course, to add an element of competition, we will be giving prizes to the top 3 people who manage to cycle the furthest in 5 minutes over the course of the week. The bike will be available between 8.30am and 6.00pm each day. We do ask that anyone who wants to ride is comfortable that they have an appropriate level of health and fitness to undertake the exercise.

We would also like to say a huge thanks to our friends at "Gym Hub" for donating a bike for the week to help us support this great cause. You can learn more about Gym Hub here;

If you don’t feel you have the energy to jump on the bike, we will be selling poppies in the office as well.

So, dig out the lycra and swing by the office to help us support the Royal British Legion.

We look forward to seeing you

The Team from Aspire Residential
